Early last month, we were contacted by an elderly couple who wanted our services to cater for their 40-year wedding anniversary at a large golf club located in Fulbourn. We were more than happy to take up their request and began organising a meal plan. Audrey and her husband Harry requested the simple hog with a side of crisp home-made salads, 2 trays of warm herb potatoes and of course, our famous crispy crackling. They were new customers and we were more than ready to impress.
When the day of the event arrived, our team set up late morning. Here at hog roast Fulbourn, we always offer our customers an option of inside and outside catering, this gives them flexibility for their chosen venue.
After we set up our work space, including our large hog roasting machine, buffet arrangement and disposable cutlery, we were prepared for the guests to arrive. Of course, the smells from our spitting hog was filling the room and causing everyone to crowd around our work station. Soon enough, the plates of Audrey’s guests were filled and they were sat diving into a heap of tender, juicy meat along with our warm new potatoes. I overheard Harry say ‘we will be hiring these for our next anniversary, or maybe for a birthday event!’. We always enjoy positive feedback from our clients and thrive from making them smile.
As the event came to a close, our team cleaned the surfaces, tidied away our machines and ensured all of the disposable cutlery was taken away. We offer this service at all our events to create a relaxed atmosphere for all of the party involved.
