Best choice I could have made to have this company provide the meal. Top notch professionalism, friendliness, communication, flavor, abundance (90-people planned and had leftovers), visuals (of the food and presentation), helpfulness (setup not only the company stuff but looked to help with the venue-setup as well), and value-for-the-price. I could not recommend them more. I'm not a person who enjoys stuffing, and the sandwich roll they had (seeded roll which was light and fluffy and still held together well with the meat and stuffing inside) with the stuffing and the roasted pork was such a blend of flavors and textures to be an epicurean delight. The roast-master who attended our festivities was congenial, affable, timely, and an all around great guy. I wanted to extend a financial-added tip and he was unwilling to do so. We had our Gourmet BBQ menu wedding reception at home last week. Ben arrived before we were back from the ceremony and the preparation was underway when we got home. The service provided was polite, friendly and unobtrusive, just they way we hoped it would be. Spitting pig did the barbecue for us. Everything about their organisation was first class. Two efficient, polite young men set up the barbecue, which was ready to be served at the specified time. The food was beautifully displayed and was plentiful and delicious. The pulled pork, the chicken, and minted lamb were appreciated by our guests,as were the salads we'd chosen. The sweets were served after a suitable interval . Both our choices went down well,meringues and profiteroles. Everything was cleared away, and food left over was put in our kitchen in covered trays. We hired Spitting Pig for our wedding and had a Hog Roast with salad and chips and chose our wedding cake to be the desert. I was so impressed with the service we received! On the day there was a bouncy castle in the way of the food prep area, this was handled so effectively by the SP team they found a way to prep the food out the way whilst the ceremony happened and then set up shop once the ceremony had finished in readiness for serve time. I really appreciated the way they overcame the unexpected hurdle I had provided! So cool, calm and efficient. The staff was incredibly professional and really helpful when serving and talking people through the dishes. Really friendly perfect for a wedding atmosphere! The food was absolutely amazing! The pork was so tender and tasty literally mouth watering, the chips was all skinny fries but freshly made from real potatoes absolutely perfectly soft and crispy in the right places! I wasn't expecting much from the salad and coleslaw but low and behold this was fantastic! Easily the best coleslaw I have ever had. So many of my guests have said it was the best hog roast they have ever had and they include the chips and coleslaw in that to. Desert - I chose to use my wedding cake as desert, the SP team did something really cool, they chopped the cake into serviceable slices and presented on a plate with saute sauce and decor, it looked like a million dollars! Overall the whole experience was fantastic the food was incredible and the team was so friendly and professional, I couldn't be happier!
