Rainy Hog Roast in Cottenham – It didn’t stop us roasting!

I arrived at the little village of Hog roast Cottenham not to far from Cambridge. It was a stunning venue called Hotel Felix. It wasn’t the best of days in Cottenham for a Hog roast it was raining but, we was still going to make this wedding day one to remember for Gill as it was her special day. The menu that I was cooking today was wedding menu which included the gorgeous Whole Spit Roasted Pig which I cooked over the flames. When I got their I prepared the pig and began to cook. As the pig was cooking I started on making my speciality homemade apple sauce and onion sage stuff which also came with the menu. The salads I had pre prepped before arriving at Hog Roast Cottenhams wedding venue, which was a fresh tomato and mozzarella salad which had a spectacular divine drizzle of olive oil and seasoned with rock salt, cracked black pepper and hand torn basil which added colour and a vibrant flavour. As the hog roast was cooked I began to serve around 4pm as requested. People were commenting all evening how amazing and fresh the meat tasted.  After a fantastic smooth serving I prepared the cake upon her request along with our added extras of cream and fruits. Gill had a very special day and thanked me personally before I left to tell me the dishes where a massive part of that! Thank you Gill and I hope you have many happy years to come!
