A pub in Fen Ditton was used for Michaels’ 30th birthday party. The Spitting Pig team didn’t have to travel far at all. The party was being held in the function room which could hold 200 people. As the team arrived, we saw the room was full – we were prepared and no one would be going hungry – especially with the food we had in store for them! Before we departed to go to the venue we had already been slowly roasting the hog roast Fen Ditton for 12 hours and it was ready to be demolished. The couple hundred guests; three quarters men and the rest women, were all drinking and all getting jolly to celebrate.
The Spitting Pig team set up the gazebo outside the function bar on the patio and soon enough 8pm arrived – it was time to serve. The guests were busy with all their chanting and celebrations at first but 10 minutes went by and the patio was flooded with people all waiting to get their hands on our tender, sensational slowly roasted pork with a crispy baked rolls with a choice to add our fresh homemade bramley apple sauce which had been cooked down and prepared a few hours ago. The atmosphere was so good – everyone drinking and enjoying their food – I loved working at this event! As the night went on and the food supply went down, it was time to pack up and leave the birthday party guests to ‘chant’ the night away.
