Catering south at the weekend for a party and producing a Hog Roast Hauxton for 200 guests. The event was held in a large courtyard and the party was for a lovely guy Jamie who was celebrating his 21st birthday. Upon arrival Jamie greeted us and he said he had lots of his friends travelling from all over the country and he had been excited for weeks thinking of the food!
The meat of the day was pork and we placed a large pig on the machine enough meat to feed 200 plus. The meat takes care of its self and we need to do nothing to it as it cooks just a case of preparing the skin for the crackling and we do make the most delicious crackling ever! As the Hog Roast Hauxton cooked we set to work on filling the tables with crockery and cutlery and then making all the side dishes. We chopped, diced and sliced an assortment of salad vegetables and placed them in bowls then made an array of salad dressings. We made a large pot of coleslaw and some honey and mustard dip and a garlic and herb dip and of course apple sauce which compliments the meat perfectly. We baked a large batch of rolls and wraps and placed these in baskets and dotted them around the tables. We made some sweet potatoes wedges and set them onto cook on the smaller machine. All the food we make is healthy and we offer a great selection of menus always a menu to please everyone.
Jamie arrived back all ready for his party and he gasped in amazement as he looked at the Hog Roast Hauxton food and especially the pig! The guests arrived behind him and they too all came over and complimented us on the food and more so when they tasted it. The crackling was crisp and salty and went down well as always. The pork was so tender and moist and the guests were saying how fantastic it tasted. Jamie came back for seconds and third helpings and he said the food was better than he dared to imagine and thanked us for making his 21st a birthday to remember.
