With a lot of competition from other organisations holding bonfire night parties in the local area, all those who are hosting one hopes that theirs will be the one everyone wants to come to. A local cricket club who were putting their own fireworks display on knew they had a pretty impressive light show in store for people but they wanted to go the extra mile with other aspects of the event too to ensure as many people as possible attended their event, not least of which was the food. That’s why they decided to hire the best hog roast company in the area, Hog Roast Yaxley to help them lure spectators to their event with some of our unrivalled slow roasted pork to keep them warm whilst they watched the fireworks!
In our opinion there is no better food option for a cold dark night than some of Hog Roast Yaxley’s heart-warming slow roasted especially when it is served with our moreish crunchy crackling and soft homemade apple sauce, and judging by the turnout for the cricket club’s bonfire night celebration lots of local people agreed! Our robust yet streamlined roasting machine turned out to be almost as much of a focal point as the bonfire itself as everyone gathered around to watch our chef carve the tender meat, all eager to try it for themselves as the alluring aroma mingled with the comforting smell of the open fire as it crackled in the darkness!
Our serving table was busy all throughout the event as the spectators came and went whilst enjoying the fireworks and the sociable evening with their friends and neighbours. If the crowd was anything to go by, the organisers of the event at the cricket club certainly got what they wished for when it came to attendance!
It was a lovely community spirited evening that was enjoyed by the old and young alike and here at Hog Roast Yaxley we’re glad for the part we played in making everyone’s bonfire night celebrations even more special this year by treating them to some of our irresistible slow roasted pork sandwiches!
