Valentine’s Day is by nature the epitome of romance, and it provides couples with the perfect opportunity to tie the knot outside of wedding season. For this year’s celebrations, Hog Roast Warboys was busier than ever as the weekend saw our team attend several love-fuelled events in the local area.
Starting on Friday, the Hog Roast Warboys catering crew kicked off their fully-booked weekend with Lauren and Andy’s wedding. After a two-year-long engagement, the lovebirds were finally ready to become man and wife, and with Valentine’s Day being their favourite holiday, they decided there would be no better time to exchange vows. Hoping to follow up their stunning ceremony with an equally gorgeous feast, the couple had enlisted in the help of our team to make their special day even more magical.
With a guest list of 140 people, 35 of whom were vegetarians or vegans, the pair had asked us to serve our increasingly popular hog roast dining menu, along with a selection of meat-free alternatives and inclusive side options to ensure that no one would leave the event feeling peckish. As well as finding the perfect menu for their occasion at a competitive rate, Lauren and Andy were so impressed with how expertly their booking was handled, which left them with no worries in the run-up to the wedding.
While the wedding party was preoccupied with getting ready to attend the ceremony, Hog Roast Warboys was already at the Victorian-era reception venue preparing the afternoon meal. Sticking to the Valentine’s Day theme, the reception hall had been decorated with a love heart arch, pink and red rose petals and romantic fairy lights which set the perfect backdrop for the newlyweds to celebrate their new marriage. For the buffet, the catering team effortlessly whipped up our signature slow roasted pig with all the trimmings, along with a trio of colourful salads, creamy coleslaw and the meat-free sausages and grilled veggie skewers for the vegetarian and vegan guests.
Lauren and Andy were amazed when Hog Roast Warboys finally presented them with the mouth-watering feast, which proved just as popular among the guests who immediately began filling their plates the moment the buffet was announced open!
