Engaged couple Kirsty and Adam were faced with the difficult choice of postponing their wedding or making some significant changes to their reception plan so it could still go ahead. Although they knew that they were far from being the only couple in this position when limitations on wedding parties were put in place, that didn’t make it any easier for them. Luckily for the confused couple, they had already enlisted the wedding catering services of the Hog Roast Chesterton team, and we were very quick to reassure them that if they did still want to go ahead with their wedding, we would make any changes that needed to be implemented as stress-free as possible for them! We have had lots of couples in this position over the past few months, and we have been required to demonstrate just how versatile we are as catering company time and time again in order to adhere to government regulations whilst still giving our wedding catering couples fabulous food and a memorable day!
With the support of Hog Roast Chesterton, Kirsty and Adam decided that the most important thing was actually getting married, so they decided to go ahead with their wedding instead of waiting for a future date. This meant that they had to seriously cut down their guest list and make changes to their original menu plan as a result, but we were there with them every step of the way to ensure the amended plan for the food and service ran like clockwork and was of the superior standard that they deserved! The couple opted to tone down their initial wedding menu preferences and instead opted for a stylish buffet rather than a 3-course meal for their smaller number of guests, which included our delicious and neatly presented gourmet sausage sandwiches, made by our own fare hands and freshly cooked on the day. We also served a vibrant variety of side salads, as well as new potatoes in herb butter, all locally sourced and made from scratch at their venue. After overcoming their initial disappointment of not being able to have the kind of reception they imagined, the happy couple had a great day celebrating their marriage and they were very thankful to Hog Roast Chesterton for our flexibility, excellent service and the fantastic food that we provided!
