Hog Roast Alconbury has spent years catering for all kinds of parties and events, both locally and further afield, and our delicious dishes are suitable for just about any special occasion that you might have in mind. From a 50th birthday party to the christening celebration of your little one, your wedding day reception to a huge corporate event with hundreds of delegates, we have something for everyone to savour and not just the amazing traditional hog roast centrepieces that we’re famous for. We offer many alternative mains for carnivores, such as spit-roasted, barbecued or marinated meats, but we also offer plenty of alternative mains to cover special diets, like vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free. Not only that but we also provide a wealth of starters, sides, desserts and canapés if needed, as well as speciality menus like our winter warmer, Southern Slow Roast and new for 2020 – our fabulous loaded fries.
Our Hog Roast Alconbury professionals will always go the extra mile for our customers and their guests, ensuring that everyone invited gets to enjoy tasty, suitable food. We can work with you in advance of your party or event to create your own bespoke menu or you can choose one of our own if that’s better suited to you. For Garry’s wife’s surprise 60th birthday party that we catered over the weekend, one of ours was just the ticket – our mouthwatering pigs in buns for forty guests of family and friends.
On the day of Garry’s wife’s milestone birthday, our Hog Roast Alconbury chef and catering assistants prepared and then roasted a high-quality, local pig from scratch on the morning of the special occasion and it sizzled away for a good few hours while we watched over it. As we always do, we freshly made our own homemade apple sauce and sage and onion stuffing, sliced fresh bread rolls and wraps, and then once the hog had a short rest, we carved off the crispy, salty crackling and moist, tender meat and crammed bits of both into the rolls and wraps together with the trimmings. By 3pm, we were satisfying everyone’s hunger with our moreish food and many came back for seconds or more.
