May is our favourite month of the year we love spring the freshness in the air and it is the month our hog roasting business starts to get busy! Hog roast have been in business for five years and are old hands at it now we were very apprehensive the first year and unsure how we would be perceived but we have been accepted so well and have set a new trend in our town being the only hog roasting company around! Sunday we were catering for a Holy Communion Party at the local church the local school children were all getting confirmed and all the parents decided to get together and host a party for the children. We set up our machines in the church hall annex. Chicken and salad wraps, duck and soy sauce wraps and lamb and yogurt wraps were on the menu along with chicken legs and bangers! The children sounded adorable as they sang next door in the church like little angels when the service was over the children were like little devils as they scrambled for food! We made a delicious carrot salad too with celery and dips we do pride our selves on healthy eating and all our food is so wholesome and nutritious and we think that is so important especially when cooking for children. We were terrified in case the children spoilt their lovely clothes with food but from what we observed they were okay. When we left we were given a huge thank you from all the children and the Priest said he really enjoyed the food saying it was the first time he had ever tasted hog roast food and you could tell he enjoyed it as he must have had at least four servings! There wasn’t a sausage left as we cleared away all gone even the salad bowls were clear a job well done we feel! On the evening when we got back to the office we decided to clean out the van and it took much longer than we thought the rubbish you can accumulate in a van is unbelievable but at least it is done now ready for next week, hog roast hire are raring to go!
