Hog Roast Arbury’s latest clients were an absolutely adorable young couple, they hired the team to put together a buffet for their friends and family to enjoy while celebrating the young couples engagement. The couple were adamant that they wanted an informal, fun and tasty buffet for their 25 guests and that is exactly what the Catering Manager form Hog Roast Arbury delivered.
The party was taking place at the young couple’s house, in their lovely spacious garden. As such, the Catering Manager arrived at the private venue by midday in order to set up the cooking equipment and the gazebo. As soon as that was done the Catering Manager got straight to work creating all of the delicious dishes the couple had selected as part of the menu for their special party; so that by 6pm when the buffet was set to be served every dish was perfectly prepared and ready to be enjoyed.
With a guest list of 25 people that ranged in ages from 5 to 75, the couple were very keen that the menu for the buffet should be fun and inclusive for all of their guests. The Catering Manager from the Hog Roast Arbury team added hot dogs in soft buns with fried onions and sauces to the menu, which the couple loved the idea of as it added something for their younger guests.
Also on the menu was: slow roasted pig, which was served with crispy crackling, homemade stuffing and apple sauce, this Classic Hog Roast was served with an assortment of crusty bread rolls which everyone could enjoy. There was also platters of delicious carrot and orange salad served with sesame dressing, as well as Waldorf salad. Completing the buffet was a small mountain of new potatoes which had been deliciously roasted with rosemary and garlic.
As part of the catering package paid for by the clients they had the use of disposable crockery and cutlery. This rubbish as well as any generated from the buffet and food preparation was taken discreetly off site by Hog Roast Arbury.
The event was a marvellous success, the assembled guests had a wonderful time together celebrating the young couple’s engagement.
