Last month we catered a hog roast in Riseley at Sporting Targets. We were booked to do our Menu 1 but with a slight twist. As well as the succulent pig, the events manager had added on a whole lamb with a fresh green leaf salad and creamy coleslaw on the side. We had a dinner time serve of 12.30 so an early start was in order to ensure everything was prepared in time.
We had around 90 people to serve, everyone formed an orderly cue and we served up the hog and lamb and people helped themselves the salad and coleslaw. We had also been asked to provide a vegetarian option for the non meat eaters. We’ve seen an increase in requests for a vegetarian option recently and so we make sure we have options available. Our grilled vegetable and halloumi skewers went down brilliantly, these always seem to be a hit. Another brilliant hog roast in the Riseley area, with hopefully many more to come!
