We recently catered a private party for Mitch, who had called asking for advice about additional food to be served. While he knew he wanted piles of our amazing pigs in buns to be served to most of his fifty guests, he also needed his vegan guests to be well-fed too, and he was concerned about the ingredients being kept separate. Mitch was relieved and then asked us about our vegan possibilities, and he was surprised to hear that we can make all kinds of yummy suitable dishes, like stuffed peppers or mushrooms, dairy-free mac and cheese or vegetable kebabs and Mitch decided on the latter. We often make them for vegetarians with the addition of halloumi, but they are still tasty chunks of goodness without.
On the day of Mitch’s party, our Hog Roast Suffolk chef and catering assistants arrived at the hotel venue several hours before service and cracked on with preparing the meat to be roasted. After five hours of sizzling away, the hog needed a rest while we finished grilling the mushrooms, red onion, courgette, tomatoes and red and yellow peppers for the kebabs, dished up our own homemade apple sauce and stuffing, sliced the bread rolls and got ready to serve lots of mouthwatering food to plenty of hungry guests.
