Hog Roast Waterbeach – Medieval Winter Wedding

With Christmas just around the corner and engagements on the rise, there’s so much to celebrate at this time of year and at Hog Roast Waterbeach we pride ourselves on supplying our clients with the finest quality produce from award-winning, local farmers which makes for an irresistible meal that the entire family can enjoy. Even with the dreary winter weather threatening to dampen people’s spirits, our dedicated team are on hand to ensure that whatever event you’ve got planned goes off without a hitch; and earlier in the month, we were invited to help Alice and Marcus commemorate their love for each other at their winter wedding.

Hog Roast WaterbeachHaving already booked a medieval castle for the reception venue, the pair were in search of an equally traditional buffet and after hearing about our exceptional hog roasts from a family member, they called up the Hog Roast Waterbeach customer service team who were happy to assist the couple as they placed a booking for our classic hog roast menu. With 250 people set to attend the special occasion, there were a number of dietary requirements to cater for, and to ensure that everyone felt included at this event our team recommended a couple of meat-free alternatives as well as additional side options which left Alice and Marcus feeling very relieved.

Braving the torrential rain Hog Roast Waterbeach made their way to the venue where they set up the catering equipment in the castle’s grand function hall and working like a well-oiled machine for the next six hours, the team made catering for 250 people look completely effortless. By the time the happy couple arrived with their guests in tow, the lip-smacking feast of a whole slow roasted pig with all the trimmings, grilled vegetable skewers with optional haloumi and the trio of salad-based side dishes were complete.

The mouth-watering scents were too much for the guests to resist and soon after arriving they began digging into the wholesome spread which quickly became a talking point for the evening and while the Alice and Marcus didn’t receive the blanket of snow they had hoped for, no one could deny that it was an unforgettable occasion.
