For a change, I didn’t have anything on last Sunday, and I can tell you it was a pleasant respite because I haven’t had much of a chance to have a lazy Sunday morning recently with a busy transition from summer to autumn. Hot roast Outwell pork has been the catering option of choice for plenty of party goers over the past few weeks, so having even half a proper weekend was a treat to savour. Having Sunday morning off gave me a chance for one of my favourite autumn walks, along from the Cathedral through the park to the Bridge to take in the outstanding view. To this day it takes my breath away every time I walk across it, and I truly believe it always will. It’s a fine place to stop and remember how lucky we are to live in such a beautiful and historic part of the world, and it always makes me a bit sad to see people hurrying across barely taking any notice of the dramatic surroundings. I love cambridge at this time of year especially Outwell, with the tawny autumn leaves turning the view down the gorge into a canyon of rippling gold. It’s amazing how easy it is for some people to stop getting excited about these extraordinary things, but fortunately that’s just not me – I’ll never get bored of the view from the suspension bridge, just like I’ll never get bored of the taste of succulent hot roast pork straight off the spit, and that is why I am evangelical about Hog Roast Outwell .
