For Callum’s 18th birthday, his parents organised a go-karting party for his friends and family to enjoy, followed by a meal served by Hog Roast Ely. Go-karting was sure to be a great way to spend the afternoon, with the guests dressed in their racing jumpsuits and enjoying being competitive! When everyone has worked up an appetite, Hog Roast Ely will be serving our classic hog roast menu, which is sure to go down a treat.
On the day of the event, the Hog Roast Ely team will arrive at the family home whilst the guests are enjoying their racing. We will begin our prep by slow-roasting the hog and allowing it to cook for around five hours. Once ready, the succulent pork will be expertly carved and served in fresh bread rolls, alongside sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. Alternatively, the guests can enjoy halloumi and vegetable skewers or succulent pork sausages. The main dishes will be served alongside homemade chips, sweet potato fries, gourmet coleslaw, corn cobettes, and a selection of fresh salad dishes. This will combine to create a filling and hearty evening meal, with plenty for everyone to enjoy. We will serve the menu buffet style, which allows all of the guests to create their ideal meal from the dishes we have to offer.
