Wedding In Wimblington With A Hog Roast

Today we were lucky enough to host a romantic wedding reception with a hog roast in Wimblington; the couple selected the hog roast pig with their wedding option and all seemed overly satisfied with the food. It was a rather charming ceremony on a beautiful day. We catered for the romantic reception in the gardens of a grand hotel where the bride and groom married; we quietly set up while the guests were arriving, and by the time the ceremony had ended everyone made their way outside to the delicious smells of our cooking. It delights us every time that we see people getting excited to try our succulent food, and we aim to set a new standard whenever we work.

As guests took their seat in eager anticipation of our tender spit roast, the waiting staff got to work serving up on various other dishes, including our seasonal vegetables and potatoes.

When it came time for the meat to be served, guests were eagerly waiting to taste the food that they had been waiting for all day and we were excited to serve it. Everyone seemed to enjoy the hog, with our onion gravy proving especially popular! We were so glad to see that we had satisfied customers coming back for a second, and even third, helping. It’s not unusual to have all our food be gone by the end of the day, and today was no different; a waiter even had one lovely lady say to him “it was all I could do not to lick my plate clean!”

The sun was going down casting a beautiful light over the scene as we discreetly cleared away the left over plates and napkins whilst the very full guests and blessed couple enjoyed their party; all of them seemed to be discussing how wonderful the food was. We take pride in whatever we cook and hearing our customers saying lovely things never fails to make us all happy.

When it came time for us all to make our exit, after the party floor was clear and the equipment was all packed up, we had a few people ask if they could get a business card and promising to book us for any event they should have in the future.

Any business is gratefully received, and we were more than honoured to hear that our food was so well received. Although our staff were tired spirits were definitely high as we made our way home after a lovely day with a hog roast in Wimblington.
