Hog Roast BramptonWhen James asked Hog Roast Brampton to cater his girlfriend Christina’s milestone birthday recently, he asked us to cook a hog roast for 25 people but he also needed an option for their vegetarian guests. We can offer various tasty dishes, such as mac and cheese, quiche or stuffed mushrooms, but our veggie skewers always go down a treat. With chunky halloumi and veg pieces, including mushrooms, tomatoes, courgette, mixed peppers and red onion, our skewers are grilled to perfection and then we serve with a yummy Tzatziki dip and pitta bread. James said his veggie guests would be very happy with this decision, so he booked us in and we looked forward to the day.

It came round to the 30th birthday party yesterday, and our Hog Roast Brampton chef and catering assistant made their way to the venue, James and Christina’s home, bright and early in the morning. It takes a good few hours to roast a hog from scratch, so we have to get there a long time before anyone else, to first set up our equipment and then prepare the meat. Before long, our chef cracked on with the latter, scoring it and then covering it in water and salt, before turning the hog roast machine on.

By 1pm, we had a gorgeous hog ready to carve, to make most of the guests our scrumptious pigs in buns, and some lovely veggie skewers too, so as our catering assistant laid out the ingredients for the hog roast rolls, our chef got the carving knives out…
