Hog Roast Crowland cater for a Cricket Club Firework Display!

It’s that time of year again when fires are lit across the nation and the air is filled with whizzing rockets and spinning Catherine wheels. A local cricket club also saw this year’s Bonfire Night celebrations as the prime opportunity to launch their plan of increasing the amount of events they host on their premises and they thought having their own fireworks display would be the ideal way to start their new venture off with a bang-quite literally!

They wanted to attract as many paying customers as possible to their club, rather than losing out to the larger public event taking place on the same evening so they needed to offer something more than sparklers and jacket potatoes. They decided some of Hog Roast Crowland’s hearty freshly cooked pork sandwiches and crispy crackling would be the perfect way to get people through the door!

Hog Roast CrowlandWe agreed with them and were only too happy to help! We arrived at the club long before the fire was lit and spent the afternoon slowly roasting our locally-sourced pork ready to treat the spectators as they enjoyed the evening’s entertainment.

By the time the clock struck 7.30pm, the Hog Roast Crowland team were ready and waiting greet everyone with our signature sandwiches that were guaranteed to attract the locals and keep everyone warm on a chilly November night!

Thanks to our efficient and friendly service style, we managed to keep everyone happy and well-fed all night without anyone missing out on the impressive firework display and as always, there was plenty of pork to go around and even enough for seconds!

The Manager was thrilled with the turnout and was very relieved that his novice firework-lighting skills didn’t let him down! He was even more pleased with the food we provided and thanked us for the part we played in helping to attract people to his event. He told Hog Roast Crowland he now feels much more confident about organising more events like this at the cricket club and he want us on board to provide the food again when he plans his next one!
