Ladies and gents, it’s now time to dig out your cosiest Christmas jumpers and start pouring yourself a steamy cup of hot chocolate! Why? Because December has officially arrived, and it has brought with it some heavy snowfall, which has already carpeted much of the country with soft and powdery flakes.
For those of you who have events coming up, we know that this sudden change in the weather forecast might seem like a total nightmare. But while extreme weather may cause some caterers to bail on you, the good news is that Hog Roast Foxton is committed to serving you our stunning spit roasts indoors or outdoors, no matter what the weather has in store.
Having been in the business for several decades, our team have catered in all weather conditions imaginable, and our highly advanced cooking equipment is what makes it all possible. Unlike many spit roasting machines on the market, Hog Roast Foxton’s creations are both lightweight and durable, and since they run on portable gas canisters, they can also be used inside our outside with equal ease. This makes switching things up at the last minute so much simpler if the weather does take a drastic turn for the worse – just like it did earlier on in the week!
After being tasked with providing the catering for Juliet and Christopher’s wedding reception, our crew arrived at the venue bright and early, only to be caught in a sudden snow blast. Though the bride and groom were, understandably, a little stressed by the unexpected change, their nerves were soon lifted when our team showed them how easy it is for us to adapt our services to suit the situation.
In no time at all, Hog Roast Foxton managed to move the equipment inside the function hall, where they continued to slow roast the pork, which after six hours of cooking, they served with applesauce, crackling, sage and onion stuffing, warm new potatoes and a trio of fresh salads
The wedding party loved every bite, and they very much enjoyed the blizzardous view from within the warm confines of the hall, only venturing outside for some winter wonderland-esque photos before returning for second helpings of the delicious feast.
