A local university contacted Hog Roast Jesus Lane earlier this year to arrange catering for their summer open day. The open day was for students that would be starting university in 2023 and wanted to have a look around the campus and facilities. It is important for universities to make a good first impression on an open day as this may be the only time a student visits before starting their degree. To create a welcoming atmosphere, Hog Roast Jesus Lane was hired to provide a delicious hog roast to the guests. This is one of our most popular menus and always goes down a treat.
On the day of the event, the Hog Roast Jesus Lane team arrived at the venue with plenty of time to prepare the menu. We began by slow-roasting the hog and ensuring that it was packed full of delicious juices and flavours. For meat-free guests, we also served BBQ pulled jackfruit. The mains were served in fresh bread rolls, alongside sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. For the side dishes, we also served fresh chips and seasonal salad dishes. Our menu went down well with the guests and was a great addition to the open day. There was more than enough for everyone to enjoy and plenty to go around.
