What do you call cheese that’s not yours? Nacho cheese! Get it? Had to start with a cheesy joke! Hog Roast Arbury’s catering manager loves bad jokes as much as he loves nachos. He was delighted when the logistic and retail giant Amazon booked a different menu. Hog Roast Arbury has recently added the street food ‘loaded fries’ to their menu which is super tasty and Amazon wanted a piece of this however, requesting to swoop the fries for nachos!
Hog Roast Arbury found the biggest nacho chips they could find so that they would scoop up all the deliciousness of the toppings, giving them a mouthful of flavoursome delight! The main topping was BBQ pulled pork. This had been roasted nice and slow on low heat for 8 hours so that the meat was that tender it would melt in the mouth. The pork was then topped with gooey, melted cheddar cheese, sour cream, sweet and punchy tomato salsa and homemade smooth guacamole as well as the jalapeños which was not for the faint hearted as Hog Roast Arbury gave a generous amount! For those who do not eat meat, BBQ pulled jackfruit was placed on top of the nachos with the same toppings.
The set up was nice and simple; the BBQ pulled pork and melted cheese were in hot chafer dishes and the nacho and toppings were lined up in rustic wooden bowls. Three tables were required, a prep table and two serving tables so that there was enough room to leave a space for a non-contact, covid safe delivery of the takeaway box, napkin and cutlery.
The staff were absolutely delighted with the choice of food! When prepping the food, workers would ask what was on the menu and became exceedingly excited about the food on offer. As the serve time arrived, Hog Roast Arbury provided a fast and professional service so that the high numbers were fed quickly so that they could continue with their busy work schedule. It is something our correspondent has said will book again for next year, Hog Roast Arbury looks forward to it.
