While we allow the flexibility for our customers to design their own menus if preferred, we also have our own range of standalone menus, including our Southern Slow Roast, Traditional Barbecue, Loaded Fries and Alfresco, and this blog will tell you all about the latter. Our Alfresco has an Italian twist, as you may have guessed from the name, and is a three-course feast including fine antipasti meats, cheeses and breads, followed by a hog roast main with sides, and you even get to enjoy homemade dessert as well.
With this Hog Roast Sawston standalone menu, you get to choose some of its elements in advance, including your preferred potato dish and the two desserts we’ll serve, and we’re sure that everyone will love the rest of the gorgeous food too. In terms of the antipasti, you’ll get platters of salami, Parma ham, Gorgonzola, Parmagiano and mozzarella, to enjoy together with ciabatta, herb focaccia and breadsticks, as well as extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar for dipping. They’re served rustic-style, where you and your guests help yourselves to however much you want – but don’t forget that there are two courses to go!
For the main course, your hog roast is served buffet-style, and you’ll get meat, crackling and our homemade apple sauce and stuffing, as well as rolls, wraps, sauces, freshly-prepared salads and coleslaw, and for your potato dish, you can choose either buttered new potatoes or roasted new potatoes. You’ll also decide on the two desserts when you book, like profiteroles and summer pudding or cheesecake and lemon tart.
