We pride ourselves on a variety of menu options. These come at various prices but all choices can be catered to suit all your needs.
So when we were asked to provide a catering option for 150 people at a local charity event, Hog Roast Cottenham relished the opportunity to help deliver an evening of food, fun and fundraising that the charity wouldn’t forget in a hurry. The remit for the evening was to provide a hog roast with all the trimmings – so that is exactly what we did.
The evening of the charity event came with it’s pressures. Harriet, the organiser and co-founder simply expressed one wish – keep every bodies tummies filled. Ben our Hog Roast Cottenham chef prepared and executed our finest menu option to cater for so many people. Not only did he and the team prepare and present a lovely, succulent pig. They also brought along potatoes, vegetables, bread rolls and to top it off a sage and onion stuffing.
During the course of the evening some insight was given into the roots of the charity. The people who attended were there to have fun and enjoy our hog roast. However, it gave our team at Hog Roast Cottenham a food for thought as whilst they were clearing away the hog roast and preparing deserts, speeches were made. A raffle was held raising vital funds for an organisation desperate to sustain and help people in their lives.
Throughout the evening many of the attendees complimented our staff on their service and of course the delicious food. Once all the main serving and desert had been finished Hog Roast Cottenham tidied and cleaned up and left the charity event getting into full swing.
