The last year saw many events unfortunately postponed or sometimes downright cancelled for the obvious safety reasons. No one wants to see their special wedding day or a fine family affair delayed at the best of times, but unfortunately we all had to suffer through. The good news now however is that with better times Hog Roast Willingham are able to pick up the mantle and get these delayed events rolling again!
Just this past weekend we had a wedding that was originally slated to take place in July 2020, with the happy couple Joanne and Francis already having waited since their engagement in 2016 for a top spot! At the end of last year Francis and Joanne came the team here at Hog Roast Willingham a call asking if we could help them out. As it turns out, not only did they suffer a delay from their wedding day, but their original caterer had also had to cancel altogether for their reception due to uncertainties around the business. Hog Roast Willingham never likes to see a tragedy like this in our market, but we are of course thankful that Joanne and Francis found us in the meantime, and they were certainly excited to be picking up our flavour! And of course, you know us, Hog Roast Willingham always rises to the occasion when needed!
With the nation opening up and returning to normal we were delighted to get this event to its deserved level, allowing proper capacities and full service. It was an exquisite day for all and the happy couple certainly seemed to enjoy their special roast selection. As guests flooded in to the reception, fresh from the ceremony, Hog Roast Willingham’s serving team was on hand to dish out early canapes and drinks to start the party. Before long, as everyone was warmed up the main event began with a special selected starter and then of course a hog roast main, all finished up with our dessert’s selection. Food done – it was time to boogie! And boy did they with Joanne and Francis kicking things off with a wonderful first dance!
